KEEN's Summer Camps

Since 2015, KEEN has become the go-to provider of quality nature-based outdoor educational programming in Kittitas County. Our offerings have expanded over the last few years into three summer camp programs: Pond to Pines, Mountaineers, and Windy City Park Rangers. Located at the Yakima Canyon Interpretive Center, camp has a wonderful rustic feel that encourages exploration. KEEN's mission is to cultivate an active understanding of the impacts of climate change on the endangered shrub-steppe and foster commitment to environmental stewardship by providing culturally relevant nature-based education. Our main project is to establish the Yakima Canyon Interpretive Center (YCIC) at Helen McCabe Park near Ellensburg, WA.
